  • Significance: This single-span, two-ribbed reinforced concrete arch bridge soars high over the Wissahickon Creek in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park. It is a late example of a masonry-clad reinforced concrete arch bridge - a common design for concrete bridges in parks and cities in the early 20th century. The visually dramatic bridge features a 288' main span with open-spandrel arches, rusticated piers, and unusual architectural details...
