English: A Series 1890 $100 Treasury Note depicting David Glasgow Farragut with the signatures of William Starke Rosecrans and James N. Huston. Farragut, Commander-in-Chief (1861–70) of the United States Navy (1810–1868), was the first person in the U.S. Navy to hold the rank of Admiral (1866).
