Description
English: Boatswain's Mate 1st Class John Flohrs, from Bothell, Wash., reads a children's book in front of a video camera for his kids at home using the United Through Reading Program aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53). The United Through Reading Program helps deployed service members send personalized video recordings home to their families. Mobile Bay is deployed with the John C. Stennis Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
