Description
English: Washington, D.C. (Dec. 13, 2006) – Commander, Navy Recruiting Command’s Recruiters of the Year (ROY) stand in front of the Iwo Jima memorial during a visit to the site during ROY week. The week runs Dec. 11-15 and includes luncheons with friends of the Navy, meetings with senior Navy leadership and visits to historical sites. From left to right the ROY winners are: Lt. Cmdr. Shelly Taylor, Officer Recruiter of the Year (Reserve Component); Chief Navy Counselor James Masino, Zone Supervisor of the Year; Master Chief Electronics Technician Brian Venters, Nuclear Field Recruiter of the Year; NC1 Francisco Freeman, Navy Recruiter of the Year (Reserve Component); Lt. Victor Delatorre, Diversity Officer of the Year; Cryptologic Technician (Communications) 1st Class Jon Hammond, Recruiter-in-Charge of the Year (Active Component); Chief Cryptologic Technician (Collection) Brian Davison, Navy Recruiter of the Year (Active Component); Fire Controlman 1st Class Michael Benavidez, Diversity Recruiter of the Year and Challenge Programs Recruiter of the Year; Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) 2nd Class Antony McCracken, Classifier of the Year; Senior Chief Damage Controlman Patrick Zimmerman, Officer Recruiter of the Year (Active Component); Navy Counselor 1st Class Kacy Akins, Recruiter-in-Charge of the Year (Reserve Component); and Chief Hospital Corpsman Joseph Williams, Medical Officer of the Year.
