| Description |
English: Underpass at Bishton Crossing I couldn't get the road sign into the shot, which shows the height restriction of 5'6" (my height - my hair skimmed the girders as I walked under). The man in the signal box (see first geograph - and yes, the signal box is staffed)explained to me that he is there to let buses and high-sided vehicles over the level crossing, which at all other times is closed. Cars can "crawl" under this bridge... I watched some do it, and it was very clear from their expressions those who had come across it for the first time! |
