English: Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class Francisco Pereira, from Nawgatuck, Conn., installs an encoder/decoder on an F/A-18C Hornet from the Mighty Shrikes of Strike Fighter Squadron 94 in the hangar bay of aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. Carl Vinson is underway off the coast of Southern California conducting Carrier Qualifications as part of the ship's Western Pacific Deployment 2014.
