Summary[edit]

Description
English: Walkhampton: two railroads The Yelverton-Princetown branch line, built in the early 1880s, crosses the track of the horse-drawn Plymouth and Dartmouth Railway, opened in September 1823. The earlier railway, seen on a shallow embankment, left, runs round the flank of King’s Tor, whereas the later railway, built by the Great Western, plunges confidently through a cutting, right, shortening the route. With Great Staple Tor on the skyline
