Summary
[edit]DescriptionWalkway from the former Low Level Station - geograph.org.uk - 897561.jpg |
English: Walkway from the former Low Level Station The walkway incorporated into the major blue brick retaining wall supporting the High Level Station links it to the former GWR Low Level Station. The stations were operated by different companies and although a few yards apart but separated in height by fifty feet. The Low Level Station closed to passengers in 1972 with trains to Shrewsbury transferred to the High Level Station. The walkway and steps between the two levels have been cleaned up with much better lighting and CCTV installed. |
