English: A photo of a clan or family war staff, also known as an Eagle Staff or Tscdettaan by the Natoh Diné Tachini, which was created by Jeffery Gay, represents and offers homage to fallen warriors of the clan. The staff was displayed during the third-annual Gourd Dance here, June 23. On one side of the staff is the service crest for each military branch; representing all the military branches that members of the clan have served in. "The Coast Guard emblem is on the staff even though no clan members have served in the Coast Guard so that future clan members may be represented should they choose to serve in the Coast Guard," Gay said. |
