A European variety, introduced several years since, which, by acareful selection of seeds from the most vigorous shoots, has been wonderfullyimproved both in size and quality, in point of which it surpasses all othervarieties in cultivation. Specimens were exibited the past season by Mr. Cono-ver, which were grown alongside the best Oyster Bay varieties, and receivedthe same care and treatment, which attained four times the size of that popularvariety. Though but two years from the seed, many of the plants producedtwenty to thirty sprouts, averaging from two to four inches in circumference, andwere ready for cutting one year in advance of the ordinary varieties. Packetscontaining h ounce each. See cut 50 Beans. Carters Champion Runner. A gigantic variety of Scarlet Runners, having pods nearlydouble the size of the old variety :
