Description
English: Waste not want not. – Winter cereal near Hunter's Hill Farm, Lowdham. Modern farming techniques mean that crops can be left unsown to form tracks where tractors will pass for crop-spraying later. Also visible is the width of the sowing equipment - there is a slight overlap here between each pass showing up as the lighter lines. Note that the missed lines do not occur at each sowing pass as the spraying equipment covers a much wider pass. The following picture shows how the farmer ensures accuracy of alignment: 1013442.
