Description
English: This water kiosk and biogas sanitation facility serves people at the nearby main bus station. It is owned by the water services trust fund and run by two private operators which generate income with the water and sanitation fees. 20 Liter of water cost 3 KSH (approx. 3 € ct), a shower 20 KSH and a toilet visit 5 KSH. The daily income is between 600 and 1.500 KSH.

The water is from the toilets and showers is treated anaerobical in a biogas digester. The biogas can be used for cooking purposes (selling tea or coffee) in the water kiosk building and is meant to generate further income.
