English: Weston Lock, Trent and Mersey Canal, Derbyshire The six locks between Derwent Mouth and Stenson are double width locks enabling two seven foot beam narrowboats to use the chamber together. The maximum beam of wider boats is ten feet because of canal bridge width restrictions. The image shows the bottom mitre gates of Weston Lock (No 4) by Bridge No 8 - counting from Derwent Mouth. |
