Description
Deutsch: Die Bronzeplastik auf dem Marktplatz von Wilsdruff illustriet eine Sage, die das Flüsschen „Wilde Sau“ betrifft, das die Stadt durchfließt. Die Gegend wurde vor der Ansiedlung deutscher Kolonisten ab der 2. Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts nur von Slawen bewohnt. Die heutige Bezeichnung erhielt das Flüsschen vermutlich infolge volkstümlicher Interpretation des ursprünglich slawischen Namens, der in etwa die Bedeutung „Sturzbach“ hatte. Nach einer Sage, die sich auf die deutschsprachige Namensinterpretation bezieht, stieß eine Bache, die mit ihren Frischlingen auf einer Wiese wühlte, auf die Quelle der „Wilden Sau“.
