Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Winter in Valley Gardens In the mid 19th century this must have been a rather unpleasant spot, being in the middle of where 36 different mineral springs rose to the surface in the appropriately named Bogs Field. The gardens were laid out between 1880 & 1900, soon becoming a fashionable place for visitors to promenade. The gardens are grade two listed by English Heritage and are beautiful at any time of year. |
