Many animals also take shel-ter in the banks of snow, and are thus kept from being frozen todeath. The snow of winter is as important in securing our foodand blessing as the rain of the summer. As intense heat and theabsence of rain produce the great deserts of the earth, so intensecold and the absence of snow would produce barren tracts upon theearth. Now, what are the lessons we may learn from what I havesaid? I think the first lesson that we may learn is that God doeseverything perfectly. God is not in a hurry, as boys and girls oftenare when they do not take time to learn their lessons thoroughly orto do their work carefully.
