Summary
[edit]DescriptionWood Street Village, The Maypole - geograph.org.uk - 697974.jpg |
English: Wood Street Village: The Maypole The black plate on the top of the maypole is cut to read:
EIIR The village sign is a little further away, and what appear to be two swans wandering off to the right are in fact the side supports of a bench. Spot the moon and a UFO! (NB From a strictly cartographic point of view I cannot tell from the largest scale mapping currently available on line (1:10,000) whether the maypole is in this grid square or the one to the north. It cannot be more than a couple of metres away, either side, from the 151000 metre Northing line.) |
