Blyglasyren är mörkt olivgrön,svagt iriserande med mörkare droppränder och finsprucken, vid mynningen stannad i droppar. Bottnen har tre märken efter bränningsstöden. Godset är rödbrunt med märken efter drejning.Inköpt år 1912 hos Bukowskis tillsammans med: II:B.a.b.02, II.B.a.b.03, V:F.c.01, VII:B.a.c.01, X:A.c.c.02 för sammanlagt 3.545 kr. Visad på utställningen Kinesisk konst och konsthantverk i Stockholm 1914. English: Red earthenware hu vase with green lead glaze. Eastern Han dynasty, 1st-2nd century AD. The shape of the vase and the simple lines around its body imitate Han dynasty bronzes used for wine. Lead glazing was the most successful earthenware glaze-type in history. It was used in Egypt, the southern Mediterranean and northern Europe from the 3rd century BC to the present day, and first appeared in China about 400 BC. Lead glazes are relatively easy to make, and when new are brilliant and brightly coloured. However, they weather and chip easily, and are poisonous when used for eating and drinking, so they were only suitable for burial wares. This fine vase was exhibited at the exhibition of Chinese art held in Stockholm in 1914. |
