Kept: author is specified

[edit]

OK, Ruthven, I've read the discussion. It says "Kept: author is specified". Can you tell me where the author is specified, who it was, and where the permission from that author is recorded? I'm sorry to trouble you, but I can't see any one of those three things. All I can see here is a previously-unpublished photo without any evidence of authorship or permission. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:30, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NeithNevelson from English Wikipedia. --Ruthven (msg) 05:42, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ruthven, Neith Nevelson is the subject of the photograph. What I am asking is who the photographer was, and where we have a record of his/her permission. I'm sorry about the "previously-unpublished" in my post above – that refers to File:Louise and Neith Nevelson, c.1965.gif; again, we don't know who the photographer was, and we don't have his/her permission. Please forgive me for continuing to ask – I'm really struggling to understand your "keep" rationale. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:08, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You can also see it as a granfathered old file: in 2004 OTRS didn't exist, so if an user declared he owned the copyright (like here), it should be considered enough. --Ruthven (msg) 09:30, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
