All that follows now is really a minor issue and if it wasn't eased promptly, I wouldn't be sad. But still, it is an issue and maybe it's the uber-correct German inside me, that wants to tell. Palawan split up from MIMAROPA and became part of Western Visayas. While land borders aren't effected, some sea borders are subject to change. At least two lines along the former West Visayas/ MIMAROPA districts should be removed, while I recommend adding a new borders between Palawan and MIMAROPA in order to tell MIMAROPA and West Visayas apart.--TUBS 06:47, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here's something that adds uncertainty to my comment above. [1] reports that Palawan is maybe still part MIMAROPA or what the English Wikipedia calls it a region in transition. That means that the map could also be correct. I can't tell. Please double check.--TUBS 06:53, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Following en:WP and all its links Palawan still seems to be part of MIMAROPA. NNW (talk) 15:16, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's as "simple" as that: On May 23, 2005 it was decided to shift Palawan to Western Visayas Region (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 429). But before the decision was actually put into execution, only three months later it was decided to hold this shift "in abeyance" (ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 129 of August 19, 2005). Since then (AFAIK) nothing happened. Thus Palawan still belongs to Mimaropa rather than Western Visayas. -- Käptn Weltall (talk) 15:50, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
