Changes[edit]

Hi Ciell and Otourly,

Thanks for the renaming and category update on this file but I'm a bit confused. Why did you put "2019" in the name or "outdated" in the category? As far as I can tell, these logo are still up-to-date in 2021. And if not, could you tell me what changed so I can update the file?

For the context, I use this simplified file regulary on presentations for beginners because the full circle with all the projects is just too much and too complicated (even inside the community most people don't know/care about Mediawiki, Meta, Incubator or Wikimania for instance). The name and the description is probably not clear enough, I'm open to suggestion ;)

@Ciell and Otourly: , could you answer please? If there is something outdated I should update on one of these logo, please tell me. Otherwise, I'll just revert what seems to be a mistake from you (I can't see any difference with the current logos). Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 22:20, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@VIGNERON: Hello, sorry, I don’t know how, but I didn’t see this message. The Wikiversity logo has a minor change since 2017. The globe have horizontal rows. The more comlete and up-to-date version has all informations in description File:Wikimedia_logo_family_complete-current.svg. Otourly (talk) 05:40, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Otourly: no problem, I figured my message hasn't been seen. And thanks a lot for the explanation, I see the difference now, I will update this file soon (but not complete it, my goal with this file is to only have the bigger/more common projects, being incomplete is an important feature here). Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 07:38, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I did not receive the ping either. In 2019 the Mediawiki logo was changed (sunflower to the orange/yellow sun) and I got so confused in finding the most current wm-family image (like you, I use it in presentations) that I decided to rename all the family-files to have the title more explicit. @VIGNERON: Per mw:Extension:Echo#Usage, you must link to another user's page and sign in the same edit in order to effectively mention, notify, or ping them, and even then only if they have "Notify me when someone links to my user page" set (which is the default here).   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 16:47, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
