| Description |
English: 1939 Lagonda V12 de Ville at Thiesen (Classic Remise Berlin). Out of 189 Lagonda V12s, this is one of only 10 built on the longest wheelbase (10'4", 11'0" and 11'6" were available; the longer models also received a taller radiator to preserve the proportions of the car) and one of only 41 phase 2 cars. Michelin 600/650 x 18" tires, Lagonda G10 gearbox, has been equipped with an EZ power steering unit.
Chassis number 16032, original registration DRT 366. Originally delivered to Lagonda founder Wilbur Gunn's grandson in February 1939, after which it passed into the hands of the Seychelles' Consul in London. His wife, the Countess of Prussia, brought the car to Germany where it has spent a lot of time. Sold at Thiesen (Classic Car Remise, Berlin) in Summer 2017. Was also sold at auction in 2003 and was for sale in the Netherlands in 2015. Was also seen at the 2011 FIVA Midsummer Rally in Sweden, when the car still carried a consular "CC" oval. |
