Description
English: Bedlam Furnaces, Ironbridge This is a photograph of the remains of the Bedlam Furnaces in Ironbridge, located alongside the River Severn. It was built in the 1750s and was in use into the 19th century. It was one of the earliest blast furnaces to use coke instead of coal to smelt iron.
