Object history | This drawing was thought to be the one sold by the artist to Thomas Edward Plint for 40 guineas in mid-February 1859. Plint died the following year. This drawing appears to have been commissioned by Colonel Gillum directly from the artist in the mid 1860s and Gillum bequeathed it to the BM.
