Español: El escudo de armas de la Comunidad de Madrid está timbrado por corona real cerrada y muestra, en campo de gules, dos castillos de oro pareados, almenados y donjonados de tres torres, mamposteados de sable y aclarados de azur, surmontados en el jefe por siete estrellas de plata y de cinco puntas, colocadas cuatro y tres.
Italiano: Di rosso, a due castelli affiancati d'oro, merlati e torricellati, finestrati d'azzurro e murati di nero, sormontati, in capo, da sette stelle d'argento poste 4 e 3.

Object history

Escudo de armas de la Comunidad de Madrid, de acuerdo con el modelo oficial publicado. El campo de gules representa a Castilla y los dos castillos a las dos comunidades autónomas vecinas de Castilla y Leon y Castilla-La Mancha, entre las que la Comunidad de Madrid quiere servir de lugar de encuentro. Las siete estrellas son por la constelación de la Osa Mayor y constituyen un símbolo que ha sido tomado del antiguo Concejo de Madrid. Y, por último, la corona real recuerda que Madrid es Villa y Corte, ya desde 1561.

La ilustración corresponde a una recreación hecha a partir de los dos modelos oficiales actuales del escudo de armas de la Comunidad de Madrid, siguiendo unas normas heráldicas más precisas.
