| Description |
English: Fleet Street from Ludgate Hill Not many photographs are taken looking back into Fleet Street from Ludgate Hill especially now the newspapers have deserted the Street. Only the tower of St. Dunstan-in-the-East is of much architectural interest. The leading bus is PVL 144 on Route 172, which was originally a tram-replacement route introduced in 1950 (not that trams ever ran along Fleet Street - certainly not!). In modern times, the 172 runs St. Pauls Station to Brockley rise. |
