ลักษณะของดวงตราและการกำหนดสีในดวงตรานี้ อ้างอิงตามลักษณะที่สำนักงานจังหวัดแพร่เลือกใช้ ซึ่งมีการเพิ่มแถบป้ายชื่อจังหวัดและตราพระครุฑพ่าห์ลงในดวงตราด้วย สามารถดูได้จากภาพต้นฉบับตามลิงก์ต่อไปนี้
