excessive reverts

@Lasunncty: There is no need for 2 files as Somaliland is disputed and should not be included alongside contingent Somalia as per the [1] China map. Additionally, splitting the file to produce two maps would lead to constant edit warring so is best to keep the one. Many thanks Jacob300 (talk) 19:17, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: In that case, a 2-file split should suffice. If the map were to be split, the current version should remain in place and another map can be uploaded if other editors would like since this map illustrates the dispute as it stands today. @Lasunncty: Yes please 2 files, there should only have been a single map file for this country but other editors have created a different file on top of the existing one. SultanSanaag (talk) 13:42, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

please understand the difference between disputed areas and claimed areas. Taiwan is technically recognised by certain UN member states which makes it a partially recognised state thus giving them dispute between mainland china. In the case of Somaliland, there is no country that recognises them thus making their dispute and claim invalid as a whole. Not to mention that their claimed presence is also qunestioned as seen in the Somaliland wiki.

The two file split has caused all the other maps to be effected. I have spoken with @SultanSanaag about this. Jacob300 and his other sockpuppets are currently vandalising Somalia's page and removing sources. I would like admins to review the changes and understand that this two map split is not unnecessary. @Hurbad: Your overwrites are duplicates of File:Somalia location map.svg. If you don't like this map, use that one. The split was so that each wiki could decide which one they wanted (or even use both) and avoid conflict here on commons. --Lasunncty (talk) 01:50, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
