I'm sure the move will cause grumbles, but I think it's more helpful to have commons mirror the naming conventions used on the various WPs, in this case en: . The same should be done for categories, but will take more time. Stan Shebs 14:22, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another boring city gallery, showing streets and lines of buildings. I hope to liven this up, after i sort all the SF images into better subcategories.50.193.19.66 18:23, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My long term plan is to copy multilinqual headers from the New York City gallery, then reformat them according to the London gallery, then add more of the featured images and valued/quality images, and reduce the content of "boring" images.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 20:41, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This gallery gets 20-80 hits per day, compared to 40-100 for london and 60-90 for new york city. (Sexual intercourse in humans gets 1200-1500, but dont bother to go there, its not worth the click, seriously)Mercurywoodrose (talk) 20:44, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Language information[edit]

The most important foreign languages to this subject are Spanish and Mandarin Chinese (Traditional and Simplified forms), so the gallery should use those languages, along with English, as much as possible. The San Francisco Unified School District has websites in those two languages.

Other possible languages: Japanese, Russian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Korean (based on documents published by the San Francisco Unified School District) WhisperToMe (talk) 23:38, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
