The branch was closed shortly after the photo was taken with all staff being transferred to the larger Currys store at the Wakes Retail Park, also in Newport. The site has since been converted into a branch of Bet Fred.

Southern Vectis 1106 Linstone Chine (HW58 ARX), a Scania OmniCity, at Ventnor Middle School, Ventnor, Isle of Wight on route 3. At the time, roadworks were taking place on Leeson Road, meaning Southern Vectis route 3 buses couldn't get from Ventnor to Shanklin. As a result, all buses ran until Ventnor Middle School, before turning around to go back through Wroxall and Whitely Bank to Shanklin. A shuttle service was provided for everyone in Ventnor to travel up to Ventnor Middle School to either change buses for Newport or Shanklin.

Go South Coast events fleet 1974 (X574 EGK), a Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President, in the High Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight operating a shuttle service. At the time, roadworks were taking place on Leeson Road, meaning Southern Vectis route 3 buses couldn't get from Ventnor to Shanklin. As a result, all buses ran until Ventnor Middle School, before turning around to go back through Wroxall and Whitely Bank to Shanklin. A shuttle service was provided for everyone in Ventnor to travel up to Ventnor Middle School to either change buses for Newport or Shanklin.

A notice at the bus stop at Furrlongs, Newport, Isle of Wight in September 2011. It was approaching Bestival 2011 at the time, and to avoid delays to route 8 over the weekend, it did not run through Pan Estate, with a special shuttle service from Newport bus station put on instead.

Southern Vectis 3363 (HW54 DCU), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2, in Alpine Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight on route 6. It is seen on the first day of the new timetable, on 5 September 2011. The service was increased to operate every hour with volunteer drivers on some buses as part of the Community Bus Partnership. The veicles now usually used on the route are ex-Wightbus vehicles, and at this point, this one hadn't yet been repainted into Southern Vectis colours.
