@Verdy p: Your recent changes has turned the swatch generated by this template from a square into a (horizontally oblong) rectangle. Maybe that’s intentional, maybe it’s a mistake — but surely this kind of change to a template transcluded 55 457 times should not be untertaken lightly and without a justification. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 14:22, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- There'(s no special reason for that flat rectangle; these just displays several colors without any specific order between them. Also when cells are too small, you don't really see the diferences, and colors look darker than they are, because of the surrounding. Those tempaltes are in some categories, not a lot, and they are correlated; the shape used for these colroed cells is arbotrary. I've browsed many categories to see how these behave.
- The remaining uses are in color legends for file descriptions (e.g. for chemical 3D diagrams); as well this is OK everywhere and even better like this.
- Note the main justification is that the shape changed variably depending on which color names were used, as well as the size of the box. Various color-releted templates were also not working in their layout, and generated links. verdy_p (talk) 16:14, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
