Well, it started as a way of avoiding exam revision, let's see where it all ends...

I normally license all my images with {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} by default. If you need a dual licensing with {{GFDL}} for any compatibility reason then just drop me a message and it should be no problem. The attribution I require for my images is Lokal_Profil, CC-BY-SA-2.5.

Quote about the ShareAlike requirement from the CC-BY-SA-2.5 license text.

"The above applies to the Work as incorporated in a Collective Work, but this does not require the Collective Work apart from the Work itself to be made subject to the terms of this License."

So in short if you use one of my images on your webpage you need to mention that Lokal_Profil is the author of it and that the image is under CC-BY-SA-2.5 but you don't need to license the rest of your homepage under the same license. If you however modify an image or use parts (or the whole of it) to create a new image (or movie or something) then that work must be licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.5 and you must state that it's based of an image by Lokal_Profil.

Apparently GFDL works differently. According to [1] a GFDL image in an article makes the whole article GFDL.
