COVID-19 Outbreak World Map per Capita.svg Modifications[edit]

For a few days now Alabama (US) has more than 3 cases per thousand inhabitants. Can you please verify? — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 79.117.120.209 (talk) 15:33, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In Alabama, there is, as of now, 14,117 cases for 4,903,185 inhabitants. This makes 2.88 cases per 1'000 inhabitants, which is correct. :) Raphaël Dunant (talk) 21:28, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As of now 17,952 casses, official data from Alabama Department of Public Health, which I hope you will agree is the best possible source. So 14117 cases is not correct. https://alpublichealth.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/6d2771faa9da4a2786a509d82c8cf0f7 — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 79.117.120.209 (talk) 04:09, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Can you update this page and this page with the correct values? These pages are where I get the data from to update the map. Raphaël Dunant (talk) 15:42, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please add Åland (Finland) independently if SValbard too? — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.176.53.93 (talk) 02:43, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It has been added Raphaël Dunant (talk) 08:11, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can u pls add a new category and color to the Covid-19 cases per capita image in the main pandemic page (100,000 cases per 1,000,000)? Because Roraima (an state of Brazil) already surpassed the 10% of population infected. Lisbord (talk) 01:49, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question about COVID-19 Outbreak World Map per Capita.svg[edit]

Thank you for the important map. But it's not clear, how it could be "1-10 cases per 100 million inhabitants" in many countries of Africa and Nepal, if its populations are less then 100 million inhabitants? Hunu (talk) 05:57, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hunu: Because if there is currently one case per 29,3 millions inhabitants (as in Nepal), it means that there is less than a case per 10 millions inhabitants, there is ~3.3 cases per 100 millions inhabitants. Hope it is clear. Raphaël Dunant (talk) 13:21, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you. Hunu (talk) 15:43, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Per 100,000 ?[edit]

France[edit]

France would be 2000+ — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 95.70.130.28 (talk) 13:40‎, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet, because (as of now) France have 112,606 cases for 64,906,000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area, which makes ~1735 cases per million inhabitant. Raphaël Dunant (talk) 14:08, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In the web sites, https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html and https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/, cases in France are higher. And this websites are reliable — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 95.70.129.162 (talk) 09:51, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maps in COVID-19 pandemic article incorrectly show Crimean peninsula separated from mainland Ukraine[edit]

On the maps Crimean peninsula is incorrectly shown separately from Ukraine - Crimea is presented in different colour with Ukrainian mainland. It is absolutely incorrect as Crimean peninsula that includes regions Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol, is sovereign part of Ukraine. The Crimean peninsula is illegally occupied by Russia since 2014. None of the international organisations, including UN, OSCE, CoE, has never recognised illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia and continue to condemn this aggressive act by Russia. Majority of states in the world further recognize sovereignty of Ukraine over Crimea and condemn Russian aggressive deed. There is no single act of international law recognising annexation of Crimea by Russia. The maps must be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Euroserhi (talk • contribs) 13:36, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see first-level divisions in the map[edit]

I'm thrilled to see that you've brought back the intra-country divisions and added a few more countries to it! Wow, China looks totally different, and it becomes much clearer just how widely affected every part of the U.S. is (and how different from Canada). Keep up the great work!
