  •  Oppose It is a good picture, an probably the best in its scope, but how can you visually differentiate this clutch from a clutch of any other of the white laying herons and egrets (or other birds like some Rallidae e.g.)? Size, colour and form are not sufficient in this case I'm afraid. I specifically addressing criterion 3. here. พ.s. 05:33, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment This is precisely what should be done, and I will try, over several months or years. If you look at Muséum de Toulouse collection of ornithology you will see that the work started. I have at my disposal 15,000 eggs. I will propose these images VI gradually so as not to occupy that space. You have to start one day, and a little encouragement would be appreciated. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:54, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Oh, but I didn't want to discourage you, au contraire, the work is valuable no doubt. It is only that VI is a visual tool and maybe the eggs would find a perfect place in a VI set, combined with e.g. the nest, the chick and the parents. Looking at this I am afraid distinction on colour, size and form might not suffice. พ.s. 06:13, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I do not pretend to say that the only view of the egg is enough to recognize the species. And that's why the scope is reduced to "Egg". We are not accustomed to this approach but ornithologists them do very well and they are able to easily recognize the species for their eggs. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:26, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
