Description
English: What is autoimmune hepatitis? Well, it’s an autoimmune disease that affects the liver, leading to inflammation and hepatitis. A lot of the fundamental mechanisms behind why autoimmune develops is still unclear. This video describes our current understanding of the genetic basis and pathophysiology of autoimmune hepatitis, as well as important symptoms and laboratory results for patients, and finally the difference between type 1 and type 2.
