  • Reason: Uploading new version of given image file on Wikimedia Commons doesn't work as expected - older version would still be shown in preview on Commons and on Wikipedia (even explicit reverting in Wikimedia Commons doesn't help). So after updating the countries in my image and inadvertently mixing up the colour legend, I ended up with two versions of the same file and unable to delete one of the files explicitly. 😠

P.S. Of the four files listed here, ONLY FIRST ONE (Legality HHC EU (corrected legend) Map (July 2024).png) IS ACTUALLY NEEDED, other three files could be just removed. --Szagory (talk) 14:44, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sreejith,
First of all, I apologise for rudeness of some of my words yesterday, they were written in haste and without thinking.
Yes, deleting the other files is an option - I haven't made up my mind on that score yet, but file:Legality HHC EU Map.png and file:Legality HHC EU (corrected legend) Map (June 2024).png could definitely be deleted as the colour legend in them is wrong and they are pretty useless.
Merging the last three files to the first one might still be the best possible solution, I think - if only for the sake of versioning. So whilst I go look for a page to raise deletion requests for files #2 and #4, there would be no harm in your merging files #2, #3 and #4 to file #1... 😉

The first version means the oldest version uploaded on 5 May 2022, and the third version means the version uploaded on 25 May 2022. So the current version of the image is the new version uploaded on 1 October 2022 (which means the image you see now).--125.230.81.59 10:28, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
