The World Tomorrow (1934)[edit]

Title 17, Ch. 1, Sec. 107 of the US Copyright law states that such Fair Use "is not an infringement of copyright."  Click HERE to read the statute.  While copyright infringement complaints must be decided on a case by case basis, the Supreme Court has determined that copyright law cannot be used for the sole purpose of suppressing ideas. --— Preceding unsigned comment added by Superchargedone (talk • contribs) 23:01, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

File:Hazoor.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Template:Webarchive, Module:Webarchive[edit]

Hello, you’ve imported the active version from enwiki, but forgot to adjust all the links, so these are inactive, now (red links). Please, fix this. It seems this must be done in the module, but I do not know, how. — Speravir – 21:32, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

I believe you are saying the links for Wayback Machine and WebCite are red. From what I can see, the page names come from Module:Webarchive/data and Module:Webarchive uses the services object in the make_wikilink method to make the links. So potentially there could be more red links. I am unsure what to do here. Should we make all of the links point to en wiki or should we make corresponding page in Commons? I think I better take this to Commons:Village pump --Sreejith K (talk) 03:06, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
✓ Done - Made the changes --Sreejith K (talk) 06:01, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. Now I see your changes I feel quite embarrassed, though. :-) I simply did not search well enough, with the wrong keywords. (On the other hand, fully understanding Lua is rather hard for me.) Maybe I will take another look for further necessary changes, not just now. — Speravir – 02:01, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Can you please close Commons:Deletion requests/File:ليبيا بنغازي جزيرة الجعب.jpg? Someone is getting nervous... Thx. --E4024 (talk) 16:08, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Screejithk2000. You moved the file to NamigGuliyev12. This is not consequent. His international name at the World Chess Federation FIDE is spelled Namig Gouliev. In Azeri his name is spelled Namiq Quliyev. So now we have an English first name and a half English / half Azeri last name. Why actually did you perform the movement request? Regards, --Gereon K. (talk) 17:36, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

@64cases:, you requested renaming this file. Can you please help us with the rationale? --Sreejith K (talk) 17:38, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
No reply. Thank you for trying. I will move the file to his Azeri name. Regards, --Gereon K. (talk) 20:40, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

To split or not to split[edit]

Sometimes I ask split of different images under one file entry, you split them, and then it happens that the older image was not free, so it has to be deleted. You work in vain (at times for my fault :). Look at this file. Judging by the file sizes, both versions are real own work, right? In that case we have to separate them. If you agree with me, can you do that? --E4024 (talk) 03:32, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

✓ Done - In my opinion, all overwritten files should be split. --Sreejith K (talk) 03:48, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
