Gruinart is a settlement in the flat land to the south of Loch Gruinart, a sea loch of north Islay. At that location the loch is mainly sand, termed Tràigh Ghruinart. The countryside aound Gruinart is Gruinart Flats, but the geographic location extends northward along the west coast of the loch for some distance.
