Russell Lee's FSA photos of 1940 doccumented the small town unusually extensively and a fair number of the photos are among Lee's best. LOC FSA search [1] shows 619 photos he took in this small town, and a spot check of intermediate rolls suggests there are at least a couple dozen more availible via the LOC website. Many more would make good additions to Commons. Perhaps a category specifically for the photos of Pie Town by Russell Lee might be in order (which would be within cats for Pie Town, Russell Lee, and 1940).
