- Support Very great scene. 😄 ArionEstar 😜 (talk) 17:37, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Comment - Having never seen this painting in the flesh, I have no idea how to judge the quality of this reproduction. But I have a question: What is the man about to do to the woman with the outstretched arm? Strike her? Is this a scene of slavery? I think some explanation of the scene should be put into the description. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:55, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Yep Ikan Kekek, this is typical Brazilian image of slavery. And this is a typical punishment. -- RTA 21:20, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Most non-Brazilians won't know that, though. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:53, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ikan Kekek see w:en:Paddle (spanking) Rodrigolopes (talk) 00:18, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
- I know what paddling is in a US context, but the point isn't that I personally need a reference but that the viewer, whoever s/he is, needs a bit of explanation to know what s/he is seeing. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:32, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks. The description will need copy editing, if anyone wants to put in the effort (or I might do it, but not tonight). Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:47, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

- Neutral every picture that I saw of it seems to have more yellow feeling, I don't remember seem this picture with my eyes, so I will not oppose. -- RTA 21:20, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- The color is natural and original, the light was neutral. You can see another examples of this picture here and here. Sorry for the quality, however, I think there is no better quality representation of this painting on internet. --The Photographer (talk) 22:08, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- Question to @The Photographer: Is it a painting or a drawing? 😄 ArionEstar 😜 (talk) 22:16, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

- Support Nice illustration. I agree with Ikan that a detail about the punishment/slavery in the description would be a definite plus. INeverCry 22:42, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

- Neutral Like Rodrigo, I really feel that I would have to have seen this with my own eyes in situ to make an informed judgement. Daniel Case (talk) 16:27, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose Blurry and only 7MP makes it a poor comparison to the typical standard of FP paintings. It may be the best free image of this painting on the internet, but that's true of many subjects for which we only have dreadful photos. -- Colin (talk) 20:57, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose as per Colin. Yann (talk) 10:35, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- You know the size of this picture?, You saw what camera was this photo taken? You could tell what part of the requirements for FP requires 7MP is not enough?. --The Photographer (talk) 14:08, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support the sharpness could be slightly better, but it is FP for me. --Hubertl 12:52, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
