Consensual review

[edit]

File:Monasterio_de_Geghard,_Armenia,_2016-10-02,_DD_92.jpg

[edit]

  •  Oppose - Seems to clearly be leaning back, as witness the top cross. If you have another explanation (such as that the monastery really does lean in parts in real life), I may reconsider. -- Ikan Kekek 10:28, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Right side of the building seems to be leaning out. Also, I see some tendency of CA/halos where the mountain meets the sky on the left side.--Peulle 10:46, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I feel that you are really pushing the threshold quite high here. 90% of architecture shots in narrow spaces (in the middle of a city) will have this kind of perspective issues. They are only correctible with Ps and spending a lot of time. No problem to raise the bar like this but then for all images here Poco a poco 12:21, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Running total: 0 support (excluding the nominator), 3 oppose → Decline?   --Ikan Kekek 10:28, 27 December 2016 (UTC))[reply]

File:Svetlana Zakharova in Moscow 06-2015.jpg

[edit]

  • Nomination Svetlana Zakharova, prima ballerina --A.Savin 06:53, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •  Support Good quality. --Ermell 11:27, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
  •  Oppose I disagree. The image is technically ok, but has very unfortunate lighting. Ok for documentary purpose, but not a quality portrait. --Smial 12:07, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
  •  Support - The lighting is quite good, in my opinion. Her being photographed against a much darker purple background provides for excellent contrast that helps put her in sharp relief without overdoing the brightness. What's your complaint about the lighting? -- Ikan Kekek 13:53, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
    •  Comment Despite using a diffusor the flash mounted on top of the camera makes glossy reflections everywhere on the skin. It is also not nice to flash into the nostrils. That's an absolute no go for a quality portrait. Everyone should have learnt, that I'm very tolerant in matters of noise and other problems of available light or action photography, so I would love to see a photo of this impressive lady without use of flash. With the extraordinary photo of Mr. Jarré some days ago, A.Savin has proven, that he can do lightyears better. --Smial 12:10, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
  •  Oppose I agree with Smial. Yann 20:07, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
  •  Support The light may be a little harsh but to me it captures that Balanchine frailty. Daniel Case 05:23, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
