This is an artwork picture, so for me criteria 3 (Must illustrate its subject well) and criteria 1 (most valuable illustration) imply color as "true to nature" as possible. The stone used here has pinkish shades visible in natural and shady light, so it is a missing information (and thus less well illustrated and less valuable) in this picture compared to File:MSR-ra-29-1-DM.jpg.
