Why is my country not participating in
Wiki Loves Monuments 2016?

Wiki Loves Monuments is organized in a federative manner, which means the organization depends on volunteers in each country. Enthusiastic local teams get in contact with heritage organizations and authorities, create monuments lists in Wikipedia, contact partners and sponsors, and motivate the general public to participate.
If your country did not participate last year, maybe you are interested to help make it happen next year? Read this page about how to organise a local contest, start your preparations (including creation of lists of monuments if not existing yet) and add your country/area at Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2016/Participating countries.
