More images which managed to avoid the list[edit]

I've also deleted a couple of other Araldica Civica CoA's that had escaped the list. Some were tagged with digilander.libero.it as source but have identical images to those of araldicacivica.it. /Lokal_Profil 18:25, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: digilander.libero.it now uses different images from araldicacivica.it (at least for some CoA) but the ones deleted were from the time when they used the same. /Lokal_Profil 18:28, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually there seems to be ~220 files so I'll ask for it to be automated. /Lokal_Profil 18:34, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Deleted by Abigor. Thanks. /Lokal_Profil 19:17, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Digilander is free webspace by Italian internet provider and webhoster Libero. The pages and images hosted there represent the old (or original) Araldica Civica website. Some files that differ from the new (or current) website are arms which were not designed by the website's operators for they hadn't yet drawn them. You can easily recognise them by their inferior quality compared to those images drawn by the site's operators.
I want to emphasise that I'm not in favour of the removals, but I think it's unfair not to provide this piece of information, careless of whether it has already been mentioned or not. Regards, Kazu89 ノート 21:25, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Future[edit]

We'll probably need to do regular searches for araldicacivica.it for a while. I've asked for a bunch of these images on en.wiki to be retagged as fair use but any that I've missed will probably end up being uploaded here sooner or later. /Lokal_Profil 19:14, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agrees with that, maybe we could add it in the abusefilter to make a log. Huib talk 19:17, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thats probably a good idea. I've also taken a look at the remaining italian CoAs. Many of them only have "loaded from italina wiki" as source. This would probably be a good time to weed these out as well. /Lokal_Profil 11:00, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
After a couple of hours work today I've come to the conclusion that the majority of all Italian arms seem to be missing source or be a scan/web image marked PD-self. I've tagged a large batch. Once they are gone it will probably be easier to see what is left and deal with those. On the plus side I also found a couple of free COAs (by LynxLynx) bothe here and on it.wiki which are free but contained info suggesting they are not. basically LynxLynx has uploaded his free works over unfree versions but left the original info (or sometimes filled in the upload summary, which means the page info remains the same). For these all that is needed is to overwrite the old licensing/source info with the upload summary or get LynxLynx to add it himself. /Lokal_Profil 16:19, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
