re recalled the electionof our class officers, Raymond Wilev, Mar-jorie Eccles and Phila Mills, and shortlyafter this, an event of universal interest, ourfirst barn party. We saw again RaymondMcQuiston, fresh from the hay fields, as hecaptared the hearts of the country maidensin their charming sunbonnets. Then came a change of scene and wewere assembled in the hall on a certain Fri-day morning waiting for that ordeal of ourJunior year—declamations. Our oratoricaloutbursts of the preceding year had beenconfined to our home rooms, but this yearwe had gathered, with palpitating hearts,about the bulletin board, wishing ferventlyfor initials outside the scope of the Englishalphabet. Thanks to Air. iiurke, however,our dooms were sealed and one by o;ie wewere led to the slaughter.
