(Munich, Antiqnarium.) 1 This diploma is copied from an original document — a bronze tablet — issued in Rome,June 29, 107 A.D., to Mogetissa, son of Comatullus, of the tribe of the Boii. He hadserved as an ordinary private in the cavalry troop ala prinin Iliftpanoriim anriana.This copy was prepared for his wife Verecunda, the daughter of Casatus, a lady ofthe tribe of the Sequani, and for her daughter Matrulla. It served alike as certifi-cate of honorable discharge from military service and as evidence of Roman citi-zenship for Mogetissa and his family. It was discovered in 1867.
