This Endowment Fund for the churchyard hasgrown by contributions and legacies until the principalis now between ten and eleven thousand dollars. Fromits inception Mr. Stephen D. Harris has been its treas-urer and chairman of the trustees committee on thechurchyard. It has been said in a preceding chapter,in referring to the services of Mr. Harris as treasurerof the general endowment funds, that his loyalty andfidelity and enthusiasm in the administration of thesetrust funds is beyond estimation of value.
