Description
English: Afghan elders from the village of Moghalan-khona greet advisers from the 838th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group during a humanitarian site-survey mission to discuss flood damage to local water canals affecting the community surrounding Shindand Air Base, Afghanistan, March 22, 2012. The advisers’ focus is the rerouting of flood water that is causing damage to various aqueduct systems and repair of a collapsed karez, a water supply system that feeds the villagers, live stock and crops of the Moghalan-e-now and Moghalan-khona villages.
