English: U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Curtis Miller, a medical logistics technician and mentor to the Afghan national army (ANA), assembles medical equipment in a warehouse on Friday, Aug. 17. Once assembled the equipment will be transported to a newly built $6.5 million 50 bed hospital on the ANA's Hero Camp, located just outside Kandahar Airfield in southern Afghanistan. Miller is assigned to the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A) headquartered on Camp Eggers, Kabul, Afghanistan. A team of medical technicians and logisticians from CSTC-A traveled to Kandahar to assist ANA medical technicians, from the 205th Hero Corps, stand up their new state-of-the-art hospital. |
