It will be noticed how the hills on the left are now closingin nearer, the line running practically on the northern limit of the culti-vated country. When near St. Barthelenii there can be seen, far away inthe distance, the St. Lawrence, like a silver streak, as it makes its wayocean ward. A fine trestle bridge, two miles or so before St. Justin, gives warningthat what was the most troublesome piece of road to build is now approach-ing.
